PAINTED BUNTING Photography Workshop ~ 2017 SOLD OUT!
TWO (2) SEPARATE evening-based Painted Bunting Photography Workshops Offered
~ Each only with space for FOUR (4):
Saturday, June 24, 2017 workshop ~ SOLD OUT ~
Sunday, June 25, 2017 workshop ~ SOLD OUT ~
Join me for my evening-based Painted Bunting Photography Workshop ~ 2017 during which you’ll get plenty of chances to photograph these vibrant and colorful birds.
A rainbow assortment of colors make male Painted Buntings one of North America’s most colorful photographic subjects. Females -—- with their bright yellow-green feathers -—- also make great “models.”
You’ll find these cover-loving birds throughout much of Texas during their summer breeding season. However, spotting and photographing them can be tough.
But not at Red Belly Ranch! While Painted Buntings have received a IUCN Conservation Status of “Near Threatened,” we’re blessed with an abundance of these beauties each summer during their breeding season. Here you can watch these dazzlingly decorated male members of the Cardinal family perch in the open and sing sweet tunes, and, at special set-ups, photograph both males and females.
The workshop begins with a session on bird photography techniques. We’ll focus on set-ups, backgrounds, exposure, and lighting as it relates to creating great images of songbirds.
I’ve had many requests for this workshop so I’m offering it twice: once on Saturday, June 24, 2017 and again on Sunday, June 25, 2017, each time from 2:00 p.m. until it’s too dark to work (approximately 9:00 p.m.).
Since we’ll photograph primarily from blinds, I’ve limited each workshop to four (4) participants. Each Painted Bunting Photography Workshop ~ 2017 includes an early dinner, served on-site.
